Traveling and Itching

I've been traveling a lot these last few weeks. First I went to visit Aunt Molly and the grandparents in Houston. Then I stayed with Aunt Abbey in Stamford. I had to stay outside, and it was hot. I don't understand why they wouldn't let me stay inside where there's air conditioning and fun new things to sniff and chew on.

Plus Abbey kept eating my food... I'd tell her to stop, but she's deaf (supposedly) so that didn't help.

Oh, and I also went to the Vet for the last time! I say last time, because if Mommy and Daddy ever try to leave me there again I will throw the nastiest barking and whining fit you've ever seen.

Mommy left me there before work the Friday we were leaving for Stamford. I had four shots (I hate shots) and all sorts of other invasive procedures. After a long nap, Daddy picked me up and took me home, but while they were packing my nose started to itch really bad! Then it spread to my face.

Mommy and Daddy looked scared, commenting on how swelled my face looked... so they stopped packing and - get this - they took me BACK to the Vet!! Where's the logic in that? Isn't that what got me so messed up in the first place??

So the vet gave me some pills that made me sleepy, and fortunately my face stopped itching.

And that was my dramatic day at the Vet.

Not a whole lot happening since then. Uncle Clint is in town this weekend. I like him because he lets me lick his face and his feet (Mommy and Daddy don't let me do that as much as they used to.)

Here are some pictures and another video. Click on the images for larger sizes. Thanks for checking in!

Happy Birthday to Me!!!

I turned 1 year old on Sunday, March 18th! And what did Mommy and Daddy do for me?

They got me a toy that lasted less than a day, and a bright pink sweater that they made me wear so they could take pictures.

Yippee.... Here's a video so you can see how excited I was about my new shirt... (the audio is a little delayed - while I have been trying to learn how to throw my voice, I'm not quite there... YET.)

So it's been a while since I've updated this little blog. See, my paws are getting so big that for every letter I try to type, I end up pressing 4 other keys which I then have to delete. It's very time consuming, you see. But I'll keep practicing.

Fortunately I've started using Blogspot, which is a lot more user-friendly than that archaic Geocities garbage. Blogging on that site was like being in a time warp back to 1995.

Other than my birthday what have I been doing lately? It's pretty much business as usual around here. I get up in the morning and rush to Mommy and Daddy's warm bed where I can lay down and watch them get ready. Sometimes Daddy hits the "snooze" a few too many times, so I have to help him up by licking him all over the face.

I'm also helping them remove the carpet from their bedroom. I've started by the bedroom door, removing strands of the carpet at a time. They act like they don't want my help, but they'll thank me later. That carpet is ugly. (I'm also helping expedite the couch-replacement process).

Now that it's staying light outside longer, I get to go on more walks. Daddy usually takes me, but he's been able to convince Mommy to pull herself away from the couch and her Freecell game to join us a couple of times.

Anyway, here are some pictures taken of me since Christmas.

Found a puddle after a hard rain. I swear I smelled something down there...

You! Rub my tummy! Now!

Merry Christmas!!

Merry Christmas everyone!

It was so good to see everybody this weekend (even if you did keep calling me "fat"). I sure am pooped from all of the traveling and playing with Layla, Sophie and Molly. It is nice to be able to relax and chew on all the new toys Santa brought me.

Here are a few pictures from this weekend. If you have any others, email them to Daddy and we'll add them.

Hugs and Licks to you all!

Saturday in the Park

It was a beautiful day outside today, so Mommy and Daddy bought me a new ball and took me to the park. I ran so much, I'm exhausted. You enjoy these new pictures, I'm gonna go take a nap.

Stitches are Ugly

I just had some work done. I'm not sure what it was, but they made me sleep for a little while and I woke up with these ugly stitches on my tummy. Mommy and Daddy keep saying something about me getting "fixed" but I'm not sure what that means. I didn't know I was broken...

Speaking of Mommy and Daddy, they were away for a while but I got to play with my cousin Molly while they were gone. She's very pretty but she sure growls weird. Grandma and Grandpa W were here too, and Grandpa took some pictures of me (some of which you can view below).

Daddy put my very own door in so I can get to the back yard while they're gone. It took me a while to figure it out... I couldn't understand why Mommy and Daddy would put me outside and then tell me to come inside. I've hit my forehead a few too many times on the sliding glass door just to take that command at face value, but somehow, it works with the doggy door.

Thanks for checking in on me. I'm 10 lbs now and eating two cups of food a day. Daddy has taught me to fetch my toy tennis ball, and now I'm learning to catch it on a bounce. I'm not very good at it yet, but I'm getting the hang of it.
