Merry Christmas!!

Merry Christmas everyone!

It was so good to see everybody this weekend (even if you did keep calling me "fat"). I sure am pooped from all of the traveling and playing with Layla, Sophie and Molly. It is nice to be able to relax and chew on all the new toys Santa brought me.

Here are a few pictures from this weekend. If you have any others, email them to Daddy and we'll add them.

Hugs and Licks to you all!

Saturday in the Park

It was a beautiful day outside today, so Mommy and Daddy bought me a new ball and took me to the park. I ran so much, I'm exhausted. You enjoy these new pictures, I'm gonna go take a nap.

Stitches are Ugly

I just had some work done. I'm not sure what it was, but they made me sleep for a little while and I woke up with these ugly stitches on my tummy. Mommy and Daddy keep saying something about me getting "fixed" but I'm not sure what that means. I didn't know I was broken...

Speaking of Mommy and Daddy, they were away for a while but I got to play with my cousin Molly while they were gone. She's very pretty but she sure growls weird. Grandma and Grandpa W were here too, and Grandpa took some pictures of me (some of which you can view below).

Daddy put my very own door in so I can get to the back yard while they're gone. It took me a while to figure it out... I couldn't understand why Mommy and Daddy would put me outside and then tell me to come inside. I've hit my forehead a few too many times on the sliding glass door just to take that command at face value, but somehow, it works with the doggy door.

Thanks for checking in on me. I'm 10 lbs now and eating two cups of food a day. Daddy has taught me to fetch my toy tennis ball, and now I'm learning to catch it on a bounce. I'm not very good at it yet, but I'm getting the hang of it.

What I've been up to

I know it's been a while since I've posted an update. It's not that nothing has happened in the last few weeks. I assure you, I've been a very busy girl.

A few weeks ago I saw Layla again. She was quite a bit more active since the last time I saw her. She kept taking my chew sticks from me and drinking my water. The nerve! We battled furiously for three days, but by Sunday we were beat, so we laid around the couch for the whole day.

I've also discovered that I LOVE Peanut M&Ms! Mmmm!! Daddy left the pantry door open one day when he went to work, so I got to try lots of great new snacks. There were the aforementioned M&Ms as well as "Doritos" and "Cheetos"... all very tasty! I also tried something called "Napkins" but those didn't have much flavor.

Unfortunately, I think Daddy was REALLY wanting those M&Ms.... He was upset when we got home and even took me to the vet to try to get them back out of my tummy! How cruel!

But while we were there they did get me a cute new pink flowery collar. Now maybe people will know I'm a girl. Seriously, it's as if some of these people didn't pay attention in their biology classes.

I stayed a few days with Aunt Erin and Uncle Scott. Got to play with their cat and other dogs too. It was fun.

Last night Daddy took me to the park and we got to play in the grass. He must not be in very good shape, because we had to go home after an hour and a half of chasing each other around.

Anyway, hope you enjoy the new pictures. I'm 8.5 pounds now, which means I get to eat more! Yay! I'll keep you all (my wonderful adoring fans) updated if anything new and exciting happens to me.

Happy 7th of July!

New pictures...

Daddy insisted that I update so his picture wasn't at the top. He's so self-conscious.

New photos!

Sorry it's been so long. I've been so busy going on walks and chewing on random things (all of which are apparently called "No"... so confusing) that I haven't had a chance to post a new entry.

But I thought I'd share some new pictures so you can see how much I've grown!

New photos

Grandpa Ken took these GREAT pictures of me in my back yard. Of course, it's easy to look like a great photographer when you have a model as cute as me, isn't it?

I'm just kidding.

Well, not really.

My First Walk, and other updates

It's been a while since I've posted a new blog, but I've been pretty busy lately. Also, I'm having to get used to typing with my fast-growing paws...

I went to the country this weekend to see Mommy's family again. I got to play with lots of different people, including a smaller person who carried me around everywhere she went. It wore me out! I also saw Bud again, but I think he's still upset with me from the time I tried to eat his food (I was really just smelling it, honest! Bud, if you're reading this, I'm sorry. I promise not to go near your food. Can we be friends?)

After the long trip home, I think I got a little bit car sick. I couldn't keep my food down Sunday or Monday night. I don't know if it was the trip or the bugs I was tasting on the back porch. Either way, something wasn't sitting well.

Tonight, Daddy took me on my first walk. It took me a while to figure out what the Leash was... I thought it was a longer "tug" rope, but after a few yanks, I got the point. We walked around the whole block and I got to meet some of our neighbors. The dogs around here either think I'm really cute or they want to eat me, I can't tell. So I just keep walking.

I'll have some more pictures up soon... Mommy keeps forgetting to bring home the CD of pictures Grandpa Ken took of me last week. I think you'll find I'm still very photogenic even in my older age.

WHAT DID I DO TO DESERVE THIS?!?!

Full Size Picture

Alternate View

I don't understand! I thought I was being a good puppy!

I went to the vet and they gave me a shot. Did I complain or resist? Not once! So what is my reward when we get home?

Mommy and Daddy hold me in a wet prison against my will! This is the second time this has happened! I tried to climb out, but they kept pulling me back in.

Now I'm cold and wrapped up in a big towel. Mommy and Daddy gave me lots of kisses and a treat afterwards, but if they think that will make up for my Ten Minutes of Misery, they are sadly mistaken.

Memorial Day Weekend was EXHAUSTING!

Full Size Picture

Wow, what a weekend. We went to Arlington so Mommy and Daddy could show me off to Mommy's family (and I think there was a baseball game and a birthday or something, I'm not sure).

Daddy said to thank Peter for the "dog-warming" gift, and to let him know I got a kennel... I'm not sure what that is, but I hope it's edible.

Daddy's day off

Full Size Picture

Daddy had the day off today so we got to spend all day together. We played in the back yard some, and I found a smorgasbord of leaves to chew on beside the patio. Daddy doesn't seem to like it much when I chew on his face, but I'm sure he'll come around to it eventually.

I had a couple more battles with Froggy, and I discovered some kind of invisible force field separating the back yard from the kitchen. I was trying to come inside but I suddenly smashed my face into something. I must have hit my head pretty hard too, because I could see a faint reflection of myself.

Daddy sure thought it was funny. I'll get him later.

There ain't enough room in this house for the both of us, Froggy!!

Full Size Picture

Alternate View

I have found my nemesis. He's a little green frog with a football head and flat rubber feet. He had been laying quietly by my bed for the last few days, but today he attacked me!

Well, I may be small, but I won't be taking that kind of abuse from some crazy amphibian! I think I showed him who's boss. He hasn't tried any tricks on me since, but I'll be watching him closely.... That little generic smile won't fool me.

Daddy's Tummy is so firm!

Full Size Picture

When I need to lay on a soft surface, I crawl into my bed. But when I need good, solid support, the best place to lay is on Daddy's tummy. His abdomen muscles are so firm! He's really been doing his sit-ups!

I can finally eat!!

It's about time!

Mommy finally took off my stupid itchy collar today so I could eat. Apparently, they expected me to eat my food with that big metal tag banging against the bowl. I don't think so, not with that noise!

Think about it, when you sit down for a nice meal, would you want someone banging a spoon against your plate? Seriously.

Anyway, now I've finally got a full belly, so it's back to sleep for me.

I love this bed!

Mommy and Daddy bought a bed for me, but I much prefer this blanket I discovered by the couch. So comfy!

My first blog!

Hello everybody!

My name is Lucy and I just moved to the Metroplex in Dallas. I'm a Puggle, which is a mix between a Pug and a Beagle. So basically, I have a Beagle body with a pug-like face (but not quite as "pugly").

I'm 9 weeks old, and you'll excuse me if I'm a little antisocial right now, but I've been a little bit sick. Mommy and Daddy took me to the vet right after they got me and they found out that I had a little bit of a fever (how they discovered this, I will not divulge, for it was quite intrusive!)

So Daddy has to give me yucky medicine every day. They told me I wouldn't taste it, but how does a vet really know? It's not like we can tell them how gross it is! Sheesh!

Anyway, here is the first picture my daddy took of me.
